Racron

racron is the NOn-interactive Response CAlculator Reversed. It is a command line utility that calculates the dynamic response of systems with a single degree of freedom (SDOF), due to earthquake excitation or external force. It supports both linear and bilinear systems. The program reads a list of values describing the excitation from its input and calculates the relative displacement and relative velocity at each time step. The following numerical methods are available:

racron is free software, distributed under the GNU General Public License. It was developed on a GNU/Linux system, but should build on any Unix-like operating system. In order to compile it, you will need the following packages:

You can download the latest version via the SourceForge file release system. A texinfo page is included in the distribution fully documenting racron. Alternatively, you can browse the manual online, or download it in PostScript and DVI form. You can also access the latest, unstable development sources via anonymous CVS.
